Causas e soluções para a fuga de óleo dos cigarros electrónicos

Oil leakage from electronic cigarettes is a common problem among users. Its causes and solutions are mainly related to the device structure, usage habits, and maintenance. The following is an analysis from two aspects: common causes and corresponding solutions:
Common causes of oil leakage
Improper refueling operation
Novice users often add excessive e-liquid at one time due to their eagerness to use it, resulting in the atomizer core being overly saturated or the e-liquid directly seeping into the base. Some of the product oil storage tanks are designed with a negative pressure oil guiding structure. Excessive e-liquid will seep out from the nozzle or the bottom gap due to the force of gravity.
The sealing component fails.
The connection between the atomizer and the battery rod relies on a sealing gasket and a threaded structure to prevent leakage. If the thread is not tightened properly, resulting in the sealing gasket not being fully squeezed, or if the sealing gasket is damaged due to aging and wear, it will cause oil leakage.
Abnormal smoking intensity
Some users mistakenly believe that strong suction can increase the amount of smoke, but in fact, they may inhale unatomized e-liquid or condensate into their mouths. This incorrect operation will accelerate the consumption of e-liquid and increase the risk of oil leakage.
It has been left uncleaned for a long time
The finished atomizer adopts a continuous oil guiding design. If the e-liquid is not used for a long time, the atomizing core will continuously absorb the e-liquid until it is saturated, which will cause the e-liquid to seep into the base.
Changes in air pressure and temperature
When taking a flight or being in a high-temperature environment, sudden changes in air pressure or the expansion of e-liquid due to heat may break through the sealed structure. For example, a decrease in air pressure inside the cabin may cause e-liquid to seep out from weak areas.
Targeted solutions
Standardize the refueling process
Each refueling volume should be controlled within two-thirds of the storage tank’s capacity, following the principle of “small amounts and frequent refueling”. When refueling, tilt the atomizer and slowly inject the e-liquid along the wall of the chamber to avoid direct impact on the atomization core.
Strengthen sealing maintenance
Regularly check the condition of the sealing gasket. Replace it immediately when aging or deformation is found. When installing the atomizer, make sure the threads are fully tightened. You can test the sealing performance by slightly screwing it back.
Adjust smoking habits
Maintain a steady and uniform suction force and avoid continuous vigorous suction. It is recommended to have an interval of 2 to 3 seconds between each inhalation to allow the atomizing core sufficient time to complete the atomization of the e-liquid.
Optimize the storage method
If long-term storage is required, the remaining e-liquid should be emptied and the equipment disassembled. When in daily use, avoid inverting the device or shaking it violently. It is recommended to use a dedicated protective cover during transportation.
Cope with environmental changes
In high-temperature environments, the equipment can be placed in a cool area to avoid direct sunlight. When taking a flight, it is recommended to carry an empty smoke bomb or use a leak-proof sealing sleeve. After landing, check the condition of the equipment before using it.
Preventive maintenance suggestions
Daily inspection: Clean the electrode contact points and the inner walls of the flue with cotton swabs every week to prevent the accumulation of condensate.
Accessory management: Spare sealing rubber rings should match the equipment model, and aged rubber rings should be replaced every 3 to 6 months.
Operating environment: Avoid frequently switching the equipment in an environment with a temperature difference exceeding 20℃ to prevent the sealing material from failing due to thermal expansion and contraction.
By standardizing the operation procedures, strengthening equipment maintenance and optimizing the usage environment, the probability of e-cigarette oil leakage can be effectively reduced. If there is still oil leakage after the above treatment, it is recommended to contact the brand’s after-sales service for professional inspection.
